Orthodontal Treatment

Treatment using next-generation brackets and bands or transparent aligners

What is an orthodontic treatment?
Improperly positioned teeth can create articulation problems, cause premature wear, produce muscular pain and lead to cavities and gum diseases.

The purpose of an orthodontic treatment is to align your teeth to improve appearance and function. We can bring the teeth to the desired position by applying a light pressure on them for several months, or even several years, using fixed or removable dental braces.

We use two techniques in our clinic:

DAMON system
The DAMON system is one of the treatments of choice. Its results are extraordinary, the time it takes to align the teeth is short (on average 24 months), it’s comfortable, produces a lifelong smile of beauty, requires relatively few appointments and is easy to look after.

Invisible Aligners
Transparent teeth aligners are an excellent alternative to traditional braces. Simple, discreet and comfortable, transparent aligners are almost invisible and are custom-made from impressions taken of a patient’s mouth.

20 years of experience

Dr. Éliane Karam has more than 20 years of experience in orthodontics. She is a graduate in orthodontics from the International Dental Institute and has taken regular training in this field since 2001. Our team knows how to help you decide what you need. After a thorough orthodontal evaluation, we will advise you on the various treatment solutions and outline their costs so that you can make an informed decision.

Ask your dentist the following questions.

How to clean your teeth with dental apparatus?
It is very important to keep your teeth clean while they are undergoing orthodontal treatment. When you eat, food can get caught between your teeth and in the orthodontics and if ignored can cause tooth decay and decalcification of the tooth enamel (causing permanent white spots on the teeth). Using a tooth brush (either manual or electric) and floss is essential for removing food particles and bacteria.

It is equally important not to bite down on hard food (nuts, ice, etc...) and hard candy and gum. These can break the orthodontics and extend the treatment period. With healthy teeth and gums, you can make the most of your beautiful smile your entire life!
